This is my first update for the website. I didn’t want to throw myself into the deep end and instead decided to tackle a few things at a time.
In the previous update I wanted to tackle:
prettier continue button; more content; nicer footer.

The continue button was an easy fix. Quick search for a cool animated arrow button, some time experimenting with the span tag and it’s properties and learning CSS animation features, I managed to make a spinning very minimal down arrow button.
With the content, I made a list of things I want on the site and things I already know how to do and believe it or not, there were no overlap. Yeah… But I knew I wanted a place to display all of my work and I thought I can make a portfolio for that. I decided to put an empty section on the site with the title as if I’m telling people what my goals are and I can be reminded of them when I look for areas to work on.
Oddly, the welcome section was a last minute decision to beef up the site and I’ve grown to it, so I think it’s gonna stay. I’m not sure if it will stay looking like that or if I’ll change it around a bit in the coming months but we’ll see. Definitely an area i need to think about some more.
I actually stole this footer design from myself. I was building a website for a client and I designed this footer for them, it had a few more features as they were a well established business but i personalised it for myself. I do enjoy a good footer so I’ll definitely be developing on this area more.
I also updated my work to recent work as I will be incorporating a section for portfolio and there for this section will only be needed for recent updates or will be completely deleted when portfolio is finished.
For my next update I want to focus on: responsiveness of elements and put something in the portfolio, it looks quite sad at the minute. I also want a place to store my progress with the site, maybe an update section (inception) or incorporate a blog some how.
