New Year, New site!
In the previous update I wanted to tackle: Move the update section to a blog, upgrade a section using a new coding language(not HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and fix bugs and design flaws in the Fitness Example
The last delayed update threw the whole monthly updates out of the window but now I’ve decided to do biannual updates so I can focus more on other areas and I feel like the website is at a good place where it doesn’t really need that many changes and I can work on it slowly.
The first goal : Complete! and so nicely too, might I add. Super cute. I wasn’t initially planning on using WordPress as I wanted to make everything myself but to that I say “Why reinvent the wheel?” There are so many useful online tools that I can embed and direct users to and the only thing I had to do was move all of my blog posts across and make some cute graphics for each post to display. Probably one of the easiest goals to complete but mentally getting over the idea of wanting to build everything myself was difficult. There was no way I was going to do that in a month and if I really wanted to, I can do it later.
The second goal : Upgrade a section using a new language was a fail. I didn’t try and I haven’t learnt a new coding language either. I am still in the process of finding one to use and I have other areas of upskilling I want to complete first. This will definitely stay on the list of CallMeNoor site goals but for now I will be postponing it.
The third goal : Fix bugs and design flaws in Fitness Example. Again, did not complete this one. This one is a “need to do” as the fitness example is part of my portfolio and I need to make it look presentable. I’ve definitely filled up my plate too much and I’m currently in the process of organising my mess. I’ll have to set a day aside to go through it and fix it.
Other changes : This section will probably be the biggest as I kind of went on a tangent with what I wanted to work on.
Firstly, I added my navigation bar! I’ve been wanting to add a navigation bar for so long and actually had it as a goal in one of my updates but now it’s finally done. The only thing now is adding responsiveness when the user scrolls to adjust to keep it visible. I’ve also added the navigation links to the footer to fill it out a bit more.
Next, I was planning on adding my modelling portfolio but I was a little bit ambitious with time and so now there’s only a button in the portfolio section for where it will be accessible. I’ll have to add it to the navigation bar too soon.
Recent work has been updated with some slightly different titles. I’m hoping to keep the 3 sections specific to an area. The first will be my personal YouTube channel where I’ll be uploading my music/acting work. The second will be NoobDoesIt, my sewing YouTube channel. The last will be new website additions and this update is the blog link.
And last but not least, I’ve updated the welcome message and taken my face of of it. It might come back later but I’ve been thinking about having an about section or page. For now, the less blocks of text, the better.
I have a way I want the navigation to look and I just needed some more time to try and make it work so that can be the first goal. Now that I have some time between updates, I can properly design and implement the modelling portfolio or at least the first draft of it. Lastly, I definitely need to put some time into the fitness example and get it looking perfect.

For my next update I want to focus on : beautifying the navigation, start the modelling portfolio and fix up the fitness example.
